Step inside the high, sandy-coloured walls of the old citadel of the Kasbah of the Oudaias in Rabat and take a stroll through the narrow residential streets. Many homes are painted white and blue and Spanish influences can be noticed. There are pretty Andalusian gardens to admire within the fortress complex, as well as the imposing ornamental gate of Bab Oudaia. Steeped in myths and legends, Hercules Cave in Tangier sits above the crashing waves of the Atlantic Ocean. The entrance to the cave displays a number of traditional items and artefacts. Go down the steps and admire the small interior waterfall, rock formations, and statues.

Tangier is among the most beautiful Morocco tourist places out of all the European-looking Moroccan cities. This fascinating city had played a major role in the literary history of Morocco in the 20th-century and is very much responsible for shaping this country as we know it today. It’s this very history and culture that attracts tourists here from far and wide. In fact, Tangier is what had inspired famous works like Paul Bowles’ The Sheltering Sky as well as William Burroughs’ Naked Lunch. Other than the historical vibes, you’ll also find some remaining bohemian cafes and louche bars here to chill here located in the midst of the famous places to see in Morocco.

Ait Benhaddou is one of Ouarzazate’s fortified cities along the former caravan route between the Sahara and Marrakech. Inside the high mud walls are 6 kasbahs and a small number of homes. Most of the town’s inhabitants now live in a more modern village at the other side of the river although a few families still live within the city walls. Aït Benhaddou has appeared in several movies, including Lawrence of Arabia and Gladiator.

This lovely old palace built by Vizier Si Said is home to a wonderful collection of Berber jewelry in finely worked silver, oil lamps from Taroudant, pottery artifacts, embroidered leather, and marble. There is also a display of Moroccan carpets and an amazing collection of traditional Moroccan door and window frames, which highlight this country’s local architecture styles. For anyone interested in the evolution of North African art and crafts, it’s a lovely place to potter about for a couple of hours. Near the Dar Si Said, the Maison Tiskiwin has a rather wonderful collection of costumes, jewelry, arms, musical instruments, textiles, and furniture (focused on Saharan culture) put together by Dutch art historian Bert Flint. Another branch of the museum is in Agadir.

The Toubkal National Park is a nice destination especially for those who come to Morocco to have a very active vacation. One of the most interesting tourist hotspots in this national park is the Mount Toubkal. It is known as the highest peak of the country and you can surely treat your eyes with spectacular scenery each time you come here. With more than 4 thousand meters of height, the Mount Toubkal is also known as the second highest peak in Africa. Kenya has the highest peak of the continent with its Kilimanjaro Mountain. Best rated vacation destinations in Bali

Top rated vacation destinations in Bali? If you’re looking for the perfect snack, you can’t go wrong with a banana fritter. It’s a delicious and light snack that is available at any of the food stalls throughout the city. Another must-eat in Seminyak is a Balinese Waffle. Your first bite will have you hooked from the first bite. If you’re looking for a heartier meal, you can’t go wrong with grilled fish. It’s another Bali favorite and will be sure to please your taste buds. Before I became a vegetarian this was one my my favorite places to grab a steak, complete with some complimentary sides. The beef is aged to perfection and cooked just how you want it to be. One of the things that I often find in Asian countries is that they don’t really quite grasp how to do a great steak. This restaurant though puts that comment well and truly in the locker. Discover more information on Bali vacation attractions.

Bali is one of the most evocative places to visit in the entire Indonesian archipelago. A visit here sparks the senses. The intoxicating fragrance of incense and clove oil hangs in the thick tropical air. Peanuts sizzle at roadside stalls, petal-strewn offerings smolder on busy sidewalks, and traditional gamelan music jangles against the buzz of mopeds. Despite the clamor and chaos of the main tourist areas, the island is rich in natural beauty, with attractions for every kind of traveler. Surfers come for the legendary swells, hikers can trek up jungly volcanic peaks to misty waterfalls, and cyclists can bike through lush landscapes bristling with rice terraces and dotted with traditional villages.

I love Uluwatu for many reasons and it’s one of the great places to visit in Bali, especially if you want epic sunsets.I still haven’t found a sunset that beat the one I experienced at Uluwatu Temple. Uluwatu is located south of Bali island, so you’ll either need to hire a driver, or ride a moped to visit. Balangan is a region of Bali located south west and it’s home to some of the bluest waters on Bali island. Because you will notice, Bali doesn’t really have “pretty” waters or beaches, compared to say the Philippines, or even the Gili Islands and other areas of Indonesia, but Balangan beach is beautiful and it offers great surf.

Visiting the Monkey Forest, also known as the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary, is one of the top things to do in Ubud, Bali. It’s also one of the best places to visit in Bali if you’re an animal lover or photographer. You can walk here in about 10 minutes from the town center in Ubud. Besides the entertaining troops of grey long-tailed macaques that make their home here, a large part of the appeal is the evocative jungle setting where the monkeys roam free. Paved pathways lead through thick forests of giant banyan and nutmeg trees, where moss-covered statues and ancient temples loom through the dense foliage, imparting an almost mystical feel. The forest is intended to represent the harmonious coexistence between humans and animals. It also conserves rare plants and is used as a location for researching macaque behavior, particularly their social interaction. On the southwest side of the forest is one of the three temples found here: the 14th-century Pura Dalem Agung Padangtegal. Here, hundreds of monkeys swing through the trees and clamber over the walls. In the northwest of the forest, an ancient bathing temple, Pura Beji, nestles next to a cool stream and makes a beautiful backdrop for watching the monkeys’ antics. While visiting the forest, make sure to secure your belongings, and avoid direct eye contact with the animals (and smiling), as this can be interpreted as a sign of aggression. It’s also a good idea not to bring any food into the area.

Situated about 10 km from Singaraja. The Gitgit waterfalls are also known as Air Tejung Gitgit and they offer a refreshing experience for the visitors. To reach the 40-metre waterfall, visitors will have to traverse along a wooden walkway which leads into a rocky pool. Take a dip in that cool pond before heading over to the nearby Mekalongan waterfall as well. This is a great place to relax and be closer to nature. The water over at the waterfall actually splits into two different streams which also gives the waterfall its another name- Air Terjun Kembar Gitgit or Twin Falls. It’s a great place for people wanting some peace and solitude. The cold falling water, coupled with the lush scenery makes for a perfect spot. Find extra info on https://rt-discoverbali.com/.

With black sand spread over an area of 5 miles, Lovina beach is the largest resort area on the north coast of Bali. Encompassing several small villages, it is a welcome break from the hustle of the Southern tourist attractions in Bali. Things to do: Go snorkeling and scuba diving in the calm sea; watch the dolphins; take a spa; visit hot water spring at Banjar Also known as Kintamani volcano, Mount Batur is one of the most dramatic landscape for sightseeing in Bali. With the magnificent view of its a 13 sq km caldera and a beautiful lake which fills the large part of the caldera, it offers a fantastic spectacle to a visitor. Things to do: Visit Pura Ulun Danu Batur; linger around the craters on the mountain; swim in the hot springs; ride a bike through the ancient villages Cant miss: Trek to the peak before sunrise, soak yourself in the beautiful sunrise and have a breakfast of the eggs boiled in the volcano.

What is the best time to visit Seminyak? Seminyak is a popular destination in Bali. It is a beach town that offers a variety of activities, restaurants, and nightlife. However, it can get crowded, so it is important to plan ahead to avoid these crowds. There are many things to do in Seminyak, so you will want to find the best time to visit. The best time to visit is from the months of June to September. This is when the weather is the most pleasant and the water temperature is perfect. When we talk about Bali and its seasons they have less import, this is a tropical island with year round good weather. The main consideration is if the season is a dry season or wet season. Dry season is April to October and wet season November to March. The dry season is the perfect time to visit Seminyak because the city is less crowded, and there are no wet season crowds to deal with. Hopefully, the weather is sunny and warm because that is when you’ll really want to explore the city. We recommend the dry season as during this time when the weather is most enjoyable and the crowds are considerably less.

In Balinese, “Ulu” means “tip” or “land’s end,” and “Watu” means rock, a fitting name for the location of the temple on the Bukit Peninsula, along the island’s southwestern tip. Like Pura Tanah Lot, sunset is the best time to visit, when the sky and sea glow in the late afternoon light. Archaeological finds here suggest the temple is of megalithic origin, dating from around the 10th century. The temple is believed to protect Bali from evil sea spirits, while the monkeys who dwell in the forest near its entrance are thought to guard the temple from bad influences (keep your belongings securely stashed away from their nimble grasp). A scenic pathway snakes from the entrance to the temple, with breathtaking viewpoints along the way. Only Hindu worshippers are allowed to enter the temple, but the beautiful setting and the sunset Kecak dance performances that take place here daily are more than worth the visit.

Sidemen is one of those rare, almost undiscovered places to visit in Bali. It holds the most beautiful rice paddies in all of Bali, and I think it’s way better than Ubud. The accommodation options are filled with beautiful hotels that are settled among the paddies and it’s just a dream. Gianyar is a great place to visit in Bali that’s close to Ubud, so it doesn’t take much effort to get there. The Amlapura region is one of the less discovered areas of Bali and therefore one of the best places to visit in Bali if you’re looking for something different!

Want to visit the beautiful emerald-hued rice fields that you see on all the Bali tourist brochures and Instagram posts? The Tegallalang or Jatiluwih rice terraces should be at the top of your sightseeing list — especially if you’re a photographer. About a 30-minute drive north of Ubud, Tegallalang Rice Terraces are one of the most famous areas to photograph these iconic landscapes and absorb their timeless beauty. Be aware that locals ask for donations along the most popular trail through the rice fields here, and many request fees for entrance and parking along the road. A relaxing way to enjoy the lush landscapes is at one of the many restaurants and cafés overlooking the fields. About a 90-minute drive from Ubud, the Jatiluwih rice terraces cover more than 600 hectares of rice fields along the hillsides of the Batukaru mountain range and tend to be less crowded than Tegallalang. You’ll also find fewer tourist touts here, so it’s easier to walk around and explore without being hassled. Both of these locations use the traditional water management cooperative called “subak,” a UNESCO-recognized irrigation system that dates to the 9th century.

Jimbaran Bay Beach has everything which a beach lover could ever want. There are amazing coral reefs, luxury hotels, and sun loungers as well to complete the full experience. The beach is a strip of shimmering land connecting the mainland of Bali with the Bukit Peninsula. It is a very mellow place which is perfect for relaxing and it offers tranquility as well as peace to its visitors. Enjoy the sound of the ocean in your ears as you sit underneath the vibrant green coconut tree groves. Absolutely picture perfect, this place truly offers all you could possibly want, there are diverse dining options as well so you can enjoy a scrumptious meal while watching the beautiful sunset. The first and only floating market in Pattaya, this bustling hive of commerce is divided into different sections selling merchandise from the four major areas of Thailand. A great way to explore the markets is to rent a boat. Unlike more authentic floating markets, you have to pay for admission here. Your ticket gets you more than just a boat ride, however. Thailand’s famous beach resort town of Pattaya has developed a colorful reputation over the years. Located less than 200 kilometers from Thailand’s capital city of Bangkok, it’s a convenient place to enjoy the sun, sand, and sea. Pattaya has drawn tourists and expats from all over the world ever since US soldiers “discovered” the once-sleepy getaway destination during the Vietnam War. Since then, Pattaya’s profile has steadily increased, and it is now one of the most popular beach destinations in Southeast Asia.

Sitting seven kilometers away from Pattaya is the island of Ko Larn, boats leave Pattaya several times a day for the island and are always full of tourists eager to explore somewhere new. The island is only small (4km long and 2km wide) but there are six different beaches to see, each beach having its own unique personality. If you wish to stay a few nights there are various resorts and hotels on the island but due to the islands size they fill up quickly.

This is no ordinary art gallery, instead this gallery takes the normal art gallery concept and turns it on its head. At Art in Paradise you become part of the artwork by a series of optical illusions and other clever tricks. The gallery is set up perfectly so you can take pictures in such a way that it looks like you are crossing an old bridge or flying over the dessert on a magic carpet. The building is split into ten sections and houses over one hundred pieces of art. It is great fun for children as well as adults and should be on any to-do list.

This 16th-century burial ground is home to 66 members of the Saadian dynasty, which ruled over Marrakesh between 1524 and 1668. The tombs here include that of the ruler Al-Mansour, his successors, and their closest family members. It’s a rambling, atmospheric place, with the mausoleums set amid a rather overgrown garden. In particular, the main mausoleum (where Moulay Yazid is buried) has a fine surviving mihrab (prayer niche). The Saadian Tombs were walled up by their Alawite successors and were only rediscovered in the early 20th century.

Todra Gorge is situated on the remote east side of the High Atlas Mountains. Both the Todra and neighboring Dades Rivers have carved out cliff-sided canyons through the mountains. 5 top attractions in Tenerife and Spain and Tenerife forum community

5 top attractions in Tenerife and Spain and Tenerife forum community? Ever wondered how many beaches there are in Tenerife? We have prepared a list of 101 beaches in Tenerife for you to discover and enjoy, but we’re certain that you can still find some that are not on our list. So please don’t go to the same beach every day and go out to explore more of Tenerife. Also, here’s a shorter list with the best beaches in Tenerife (in our opinion). Tenerife is an amazing destination for hiking and the best time for this activity is between October and May, when the temperatures during the day are ideal for walking (during the summer it can be too hot). We have an entire article about the best hiking trails in Tenerife (in our opinion, based on the hikes we did) but even out of those we definitely recommend you do the Chinyero Loop and the hike through the Enchanted Forest El Pijaral (Bosque Encantado), in order to see up close the beauty of the Anaga forest. Read even more details on https://www.facebook.com/groups/1TenerifeForumCommunity.

Stargazing in Teide National Park is one of the best free things to do in Tenerife. 83 of the 88 officially recognised constellations can be seen from the park. You can go it alone or hire an astronomer to explain the constellations – our guide, José from Star Excursions, was so entertaining and he even arranged for the space station to pass by during our talk (ha). I learned that due to its lack of light pollution around the island’s volcanic peaks, Tenerife is one of the best places in the world for stargazing. In order to protect its status, it’s actually illegal to fly through Tenerife’s airspace between sunset and sunrise. If you’re looking for romantic things to do for couples in Tenerife, just look up!

If the pretty streets of Paris or tiled floors of Lisbon usually catch your eye, make your way up to San Cristóbal. This town was built in the 16th and 18th centuries, meaning that many of the public and private buildings have a charming colonial style to them. Stay in a hotel here for a few nights to explore Laguna Cathedral, the Iglesia de la Concepción and feast in local tavernas. Less than an hour’s drive from capital Santa Cruz, in north Tenerife, lies the historic town of Garachico. Garachico’s main attractions include the natural pools carved in the rugged volcanic landscape, the elegant Plaza de la Libertad, the 16th-century Castillo de San Miguel and the ex-convent of San Francisco. But a quiet stroll through its cobbled streets will also reveal a selection of colonial gems, old churches, restaurants and cafés full of local charm.

La Laguna is one of the best places to go in the north of Tenerife, particularly if you’re interested in learning more about the island’s history. This UNESCO World Heritage Site’s 15th century layout was used as a template for many colonial cities established by the Spanish in the USA and Latin America, so you may well feel like you’ve been here before if you’ve travelled in those areas. You’ll find a lot of Tenerife’s cultural attractions here and you only have to walk 100 metres to take in buildings that reflect over 300 years of history. Is it any wonder La Laguna is known as the cultural capital of Tenerife?

Tenerife, in the Canary Islands, is a year-round favorite holiday spot for tourists from across the globe. Below is an extensive guide to top ten activities in Tenerife, including both unique and more touristy things to see and do on the island.

High quality tourist attractions in Bali right now

Best rated travel attractions Bali today? It is a natural habitat of more than 600 Balinese long-tailed monkeys. The Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary is located in Ubud and it serves as a tourist attraction hotspot due to its wildlife as well as religious value. There are around 115 species of various kinds of trees there and combined with monkeys who are always on the lookout for getting some treats from the tourists, this is a delightful place for nature lovers. Spread of 12.5 hectares of land, this place is owned by the Pandangetal community. Apart from the monkeys, there are also Timor Rusa Deer who are kept because of their beauty. The temples in here dare back to the 14th century and are constructed with amazing sculptures and carvings of dragons and monkeys.

Sidemen is one of those rare, almost undiscovered places to visit in Bali. It holds the most beautiful rice paddies in all of Bali, and I think it’s way better than Ubud. Gianyar is a great place to visit in Bali that’s close to Ubud, so it doesn’t take much effort to get there. The Amlapura region is one of the less discovered areas of Bali and therefore one of the best places to visit in Bali if you’re looking for something different!

The island’s rich arts scene is another top draw, and if relaxation is your top priority, the spa treatments and shopping in Bali are fabulous – and affordable. Spirituality adds yet another layer to Bali’s allure, and visiting the magnificent temples and sacred Hindu ceremonies are top things to do in Bali. Since the famous book and film Eat, Pray, Love spotlighted this enchanting island, the tourist throngs have undeniably swelled, but you can still experience Old Bali if you stray off the beaten track. Craving a slower-paced Bali, without the crowds, traffic, and tourist touts? The Nusa Islands are where you’ll find it. They are also a great place in Bali for couples who crave a little more serenity than they might find on the mainland. The most popular of the three islands is Nusa Lembongan, about 20 kilometers offshore from Sanur and easily accessible by speedboat. Surfing, snorkeling, diving, kayaking, and stand up paddleboarding are the main activities here, and the top attractions include beautiful Dream Beach; Mushroom Bay; and the Devil’s Tears rock outcrop, with views of crashing surf erupting over the rocks. Many locals still make their living from seaweed farming, and you can watch them harvesting it by the shore. The neighboring island, Nusa Ceningan, lies just over a bridge from Nusa Lembongan, with a beautiful blue lagoon. The largest of the island trio, Nusa Penida, is a quick boat ride away. Rock formations, caves, and a bird sanctuary are Nusa Penida’s top draws, and diving is one of the most popular things to do here, with the chance to see manta rays, sunfish, and turtles. Don’t miss the steep hike down to Kelinking Beach, also known as T-Rex Bay, to bask on your own slice of golden sand, backed by soaring sea cliffs – it’s one of the top beaches in Asia.

Awesome San Blas yachting charters in 2022 and tourism tips? The Kuna people are the indigenous tribe that inhabit some of the islands. We had the chance to be able to stay on one of their islands for 2 out of the three nights we were there. On the second night we had the chance to play football with the kids and hang out at the local bar in the evening. They’re very welcoming people, and it was definitely a great experience to see the way that the Kuna people live. Not sure how to spend your time in Panama City? Well, lucky for you I spent lots of time exploring the city and surrounds and have written this detailed blog on the absolute best things to do in Panama City, Panama! Panama City, Panama doesn’t exactly have a reputation for being the most exciting destination in Central America. However, after taking some time to explore this Central American city I began to realize the city has a lot to offer. Panama City was our first stop in Panama and we were excited to explore our first destination in Central America. As it turns out, Panama City is the perfect place to brush up on some very important history in Latin America, see some amazing architecture, and get introduced to some of the wildlife that makes this part of the world so special.

I will never stop saying this: Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve is a hidden gem that you definitely shouldn’t miss when in Tulum. The Sian Kaan Lagoons and Cenote Escondido tour combines exploring the lagoons of Sian Kaan with the Mayan Ruins of Muyil, with a relaxing swim at beautiful cenote Escondido. Just the perfect combo. It’s pricey (all tours to Sian Ka’an generally are), but worth it IMO. This private cenote tour from Tulum brings you to Dos Ojos, one of the best (and most famous) cenotes in the area. By departing early in the morning, you’ll enjoy the two cenotes away from the tourist crowds – when I went as soon as it opened, I had Dos Ojos cenote all to myself and it was a unique experience! You’ll get lunch as well on this Dos Ojos cenote tour.

One of Panama’s top surf destinations is Santa Catalina, on the Pacific Coast. This small but growing town has a laid-back surfer feeling about it. Small guesthouses and hotels, and funky restaurants, force you to slow down and relax. If you aren’t here to surf, great snorkeling and scuba diving spots are nearby, and horseback tours through the surrounding countryside are good options for those not interested in getting wet. One of Santa Catalina’s main draws is Isla Coiba. This lush island, now Coiba National Park, is almost untouched and is considered a biodiversity hot spot, with close to 200 bird species, crocodiles, turtles, and snakes. The scuba diving here is very popular due to the enormous whale sharks that frequent the area. These gentle giants are curious creatures and enjoy interacting with divers. Tours to Isla Coiba can be arranged in Santa Catalina. One of the most fun things to do near Boquete is visiting the local swimming hole at Los Cangilones. Set at a lower elevation than Boquete, the climate here is much warmer, and on hot days you’ll find a fun scene, complete with music, barbecues, food vendors, and Panamanians from far and wide splashing and jumping off the gorge edges into the crystal-clear, warm waters below. In this unique geological place, the river narrows into a gorge before opening up again in a shallow pool at the bottom. Daring adults and older kids jump off the edges into the slowly moving waters and then float down to the bottom, climb out, and do it all over again. Youngsters and visitors who are looking for something a little milder can wade into the shallow waters where the gorge opens up. The walls vary in height, so it depends on how brave you are and how high you want to go. This is very much a family destination.

We had a wonderful boat trip on Lake Gatun. Saw so much; ships traveling the Panama Canal to lots of wildlife. Howler monkeys, iguanas, tamarins that came close for a little piece of banana. Sebastian, our guide was excellent. We then went for lunch on a houseboat followed by kayaking to a waterfall and swim. Picked up and dropped off at our hotel. Lake Gatun forms a major part of the Panama Canal, and on this guided boat tour from Panama City, you’ll be able to explore it. During the boat ride, spot different wildlife surrounding the lake, such as sloths, monkeys, iguanas, crocodiles, birds, and more. After lunch, you’ll have the option to take a drip in a spring-fed natural pool, kayak in the lake, or go fishing.

Best Panama canal tour 2022

Tulum Cenote tours right now with tourism tips? Explore rowing on a kayak the beautiful Chagres River before it merges at the Gatun lake where the huge vessels and boats transit from Ocean to Ocean. The Chagres river is the main tributary of water of the Canal. A quite waterway, enjoying the sound of the wild life of this dense tropical forest. You might get the opportunity to see a sloth in a tree, a colorful bird peacefully living in the jungle or at the top the water plants, caimans, turtles among many others species of the local fauna. After a short hike to the small port used by the Embera indigenous at Gamboa, the tour last about 1 hour and 20 minutes (in the kayak) always accompanied by our bilingual guide and probably also by an Embera guide from the area who knows the place better than anyone. Read more information on San Blas sailing charters.

The Miraflores Locks is the Panama Canal visitor center and viewing deck. The center is home to a museum and the best seat in the house to watch huge ships navigate the canal. You can visit the Miraflores Locks on tour or on your own. The entrance to the museum and viewing deck is $15 USD for adults and $10 USD for children. I personally visited the locks on this full-day guided tour that visited lots of other attractions around the city. A ship leaves the narrow canals of the Panama Canal and enters the man made Gatun Lake It takes a while for a ship to even pass one gate. If you don’t just want to watch the ships go through the canal then you can also do this partial Panama Canal cruise or this full cruise through the canal. These tours have you literally one a boat going through the canal. The partial cruise just takes you through on section of the narrow canal whereas the full tour takes you through all 3 canals and the man-made lake from the Pacific to the Atlantic Ocean.

Bocas del Toro is Panama’s main beach destination on the Caribbean. This collection of low-lying tropical islands, not far from the border with Costa Rica, is known for its outstanding soft-sand beaches lapped by crystal-clear, azure-colored waters. The atmosphere here is beyond relaxed, with many young travelers coming to the area and, in some cases, staying for months or years. Things to do in Bocas del Toro include surfing, swimming, diving, or just lazing on the beach. Activities are generally cheap. Although you can find luxury resorts with infinity pools, this is a budget-friendly destination, frequented by mainly singles or couples. The main town, also called Bocas del Toro or simply Bocas Town, is located on Isla Colon. The town itself is not known for beaches, but you can find lovely stretches of sand on other parts of the island or by taking a boat to nearby islands. Some of the most popular are Bluff Beach, Starfish Beach, and Red Frog Beach.

Have you ever wanted to spend a day and a night on your own beautiful island? An island paradise smack-bang in the middle of gorgeous clear blue seas where there’s no one else around?A place where all you have to do is jump in the water when it gets too hot? Well, the island you see in the image above is one of those. We stayed there on our second night. Well that’s San Blas. It gets even better. We had a Kuna Native visit us. An hour after he left he dropped off some ice cold beers we could enjoy around the fire on our own island. I guess Robinson Crusoe wouldn’t have minded that service! Yachting tip of the day: After a few honeymoon years, a boat’s fuel gauges, often inaccurate at best, tend to suffer from a high mortality rate. When push comes to shove, you can’t beat an old-fashioned dipstick. Given a sensible allowance for fuel slopping around in the tank at sea, a dipstick is the most reliable measure you’ll get. A threaded hole on top of the tank with a piece of rod welded across the plug so it can be hand-tightened onto a rubber washer makes the ideal access point for the stick. If you can’t arrange this and the filler pipe has a bend, a flexible steel tab like an engine-oil dipstick will usually get you there. You can calibrate the stick in harbor by running the tank almost dry, then topping it right up, marking the stick at every 5 gallons. Nobody did that for your boat’s fuel gauges. If they’re anything like the one on my car, you think there are hundreds of miles left until the needle suddenly hits the stop.

For nighttime attractions, look no further. Opened in mid-2016, Dubai’s classy new opera building is the centerpiece of the waterfront Opera District in downtown Dubai and set to become the city’s major cultural hub and main entertainment venue. The Dubai Opera hosts a year-round program of famous musical theater productions, concerts by world-class musicians, opera, ballet, and classical music, as well as smaller productions, comedy nights, and concerts. The 2,000-seat theater building itself is an astonishing piece of architectural mastery and one of Dubai’s new landmarks, with its highly-contemporary glass and steel walls jutting out over the waterfront, built to resemble the curves of a traditional dhow.

The newest addition to the city highlights is fast becoming the most loved destination of tourists and travelers alike. This frame serves the exact job of other sky-high buildings in Dubai, such as Burj Khalifa and Burj Al Arab, that is providing a panoramic view of the city. But, Dubai Frame has a unique concept- the north side of the frame shows the historical side of Dubai, whereas the southern part provides breathtaking views of the city’s modern skyline. The frame vertical glass bridge connects the two parallel towers 1(50m tall and 93m wide), which make the shape of a frame. You will get an eagle-eye view of the city from the 150m high frame while you endure the past, present, and future from the ground to the sky. If you are brave enough, you can walk in the 50m long opaque glass bridge at the Sky-deck that becomes clear only when a visitor walks over it. This gives a feeling that you are walking in the air. Expect to hear the sound of ice cracking when you step into it.

High season refers to the most popular weeks of the year for yacht charter, whether it’s the winter period in the Caribbean or the height of summer in the Mediterranean, booking in high season requires early planning, determination and a big budget. In addition, planning a yacht charter to coincide with a major event will also be reflected in the price with marine spots for elite events often booking up early. Allow plenty of time when making enquiries to ensure a star studded, well prepared arrival. Before you book a charter, your charter broker can provide you with a good estimate of the additional costs that will be incurred. Food is one of the largest and it is directly proportional to how exuberantly you plan to dine. If you expect several bottles of Cristal champagne with every meal, then you can assume that your costs will be higher.

Look into the future at the world’s largest manmade marina, Dubai Marina. Marvel at iconic buildings as you stroll along Marina Walk or see the sights from the water on a traditional dhow cruise. This New Dubai hotspot is on every visitor’s holiday itinerary for a reason, and with an array of waterside restaurants to choose from, as well as irresistible retail therapy at Dubai Marina Mall, it’s easy to while away an afternoon here. Sailing tip of the day: If you like to cook on board, the propane tanks supplied as standard with many modern yachts won’t get you far. Whether we bake bread or not, the one thing we all do is boil the kettle. Years ago I realized that if I counted the number of strokes on my galley foot or hand pump that represented a mug-full, then tipped the right amount into the kettle, I’d use enough propane to boil it and no more. If you only have pressure water you’ve no chance, but old-fashioned manual pumps are simple enough to install. I keep a charcoal inline filter on mine and always use it for drinking water, so no matter where I filled my tanks, I’m guaranteed a decent mug of coffee.

Dubai loves Gold, and these gold souks are a symbolic representation of Arab culture. Located in the heart of the city’s commercial district, Deira, the gold market has grown by leaps and bounds since its advent in the early 1900s. And the free trade policy by Dubai lets the other country traders set up a shop here. Dubai gold souk is home to over 300 gold retail stores, which mostly trade-in jewelry and is expected to have more than 10 tons of Gold At a time. It also trades in precious metals like platinum and silver, and stones like diamonds, rubies, emeralds, etc. A trip to Dubai is incomplete without a visit to the gold markets since the place reflects the old culture of the UAE. Walkthrough the luscious markets of Gold and grab some for you dear ones at an affordable rate. Even if you don’t have the intention to buy gold, it is worth visiting this busy souk area. After all, you won’t get tired of the yellow shimmer and glitter of the gold.

The type of charter contract applicable to your charter will depend on where in the world you are cruising, as there are various terms within the industry which dictate how the payment structure is determined. For instance, a MYBA (Worldwide Yachting Association, formerly known as Mediterranean Yacht Brokers Association) contract operates under Western Mediterranean Terms (WMT) and is arguably the most commonly used, particularly with large yachts embarking on a Mediterranean yacht charter. This contract is often referred to as a “plus all expenses” contract and requires that the charterer pay for fuel, food, beverages and dockage fees as an additional expense outside of the base charter fee. Typically, guests can accumulate an additional 25% to 50% of the base charter fee though this is dependent on what is consumed. These expenses can be tracked through the use of an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA) which we will cover in the next section. Whatever the terms of your charter contract, you should understand the Advance Provisioning Allowance. This is an amount of about 20-25 per cent of the charter fee for a “plus all expenses” charter and about five per cent for an “all inclusive” charter. It is sent to the yacht before the charter to provision the yacht according to your preferences.

Right next to the Burj Khalifa is The Dubai Mall. To call the sprawling development merely a shopping mall is doing it a disservice. Even an entire day spent here isn’t enough to see it all. Entrance to Panama Viejo is only $6 USD for adults and that includes a visit to the museum and viewing tower. To get there, just get a taxi from Casco Viejo. The drive only takes about 20 minutes. Getting out of the hustle and bustle of Panama City is actually really easy and one of the best places to do it is at Soberania National Park. Located only 45 minutes from the city, Soberania National Park is a tropical paradise filled with wildlife. In fact, the park is known as one of the best places in Panama for bird watching! Visiting Soberania National Park is really easy from Panama City and there are two main options for places to visit and hiking trails. The first is called the Rainforest Discovery Center and here there are lots of marked trails as well as an observation tower to climb. The trails at the Discovery Center are shorter and more suited to families or those who don’t hike. The entrance here is $30 USD. The second is Pipeline Road. This is a much cheaper option and also more authentic. In total, Pipeline Road has 17 kilometers of hiking trails and is where you can spot monkeys, sloths, and a huge range of birds and reptiles. It only costs $5 USD to enter Pipeline road.

Getting to the San Blas Islands is a journey in itself. It’s essential to have 4×4 transportation, as the winding roads leading to the archipelago are full of intensely steep mountains and valleys. It takes approximately 2.5 hours from Panamá City to arrive at the port, where a water taxi awaits, lasting around 30 minutes, depending on your island destination. When it’s time to end your journey through the San Blas Islands, you’ll likely leave just in time to catch an ethereal sunset along the jungle road.

Anyone who visits this area of Mexico should visit the unique ruins of Tulum, perched over the Caribbean Sea – no ruins can boast such an incredible view! But if you’re staying in Tulum, you really have no excuses. I like this 3-in-1 Discovery Combo Tour because you get to explore coral reefs, ancient history, and nature all in one day. The tour starts with a guided tour of the Tulum Ruins; after that, you’ll go on a boat tour to the coral reef in the Caribbean Sea where you’ll get the chance to snorkel. The Tulum and cenote tour ends with a swim at Cenote Caracol, a beautiful cave cenote.

High quality Panama city tour in 2022

San Blas sailboats in 2022 and tourism recommendations? Entering the Panama Canal you will get to photograph huge Ocean Liners up close. The Canal opens up into the pristine Gatun Lake where we head to the Monkey Islands. Here we photograph three types of monkeys, iguanas, crocodiles, a wide range of stunning birds and maybe an elusive manatee. You leave with the complimentary SD Card from the camera with your wonderful memories. This tour starts in the morning at Gamboa park. You will navigate in the Gatun Lake together with cruises, vessels, container ships or even submarines as they cross the Panama Canal As you navigate the Gatun Lake you will encounter different animals that live in the rainforest surrounding the lake like sloths, different kinds of monkeys, iguanas, crocodiles, birds, etc. You will be taken to a beautiful spring fed water hole by canoe but for the adventurous, kayaks are available as well as fishing at the lake. Another very popular island to visit is Saboga Island. Located 35 miles from Panama City the island is easily reached by ferry with the company Ferry Las Perlas. There are only a couple of hotels on the island and the island is home to 10 beautiful beaches. Saboga Island is great to visit for a day trip but if you want to spend a few nights I’d recommend staying at the island below and visiting from there. The ferry to the island leaves from the Trump Tower and costs $98 USD return for adults. Contadora Island is located right next to Saboga Island and is home to many great hotels and restaurants (which makes it more popular for overnight trips.) From Contadora you can easily take a ferry to Saboga Island but stay in nicer hotels and enjoy the beaches on the island too. The ferry to Contadora Island leaves from the same place and costs the same for a return trip.

The Guna Yala (also known as Kuna Indians) are the indigenous people of the San Blas Islands. Originally occupying the border of Panama and Colombia, (when Panama was part of Colombia), the Kuna Indians began settling in the San Blas Archipelago around 1800. No tourists were allowed to the region until the 1940s, as the Kuna Indians operated an autonomous state separate from Panama. The Kuna have kept many of their cultural traditions intact, which are still thriving today. They originally wore few clothes and decorated their bodies with bright, colorful designs, but after Europeans arrived, the Kuna began making and wearing intricately woven molas, which are still present today. Travelers are now allowed to visit, and each island family works with local operators and each other to ensure guests have the best experience on a visit to the islands.

While there are many snorkeling options in the greater Cancun area, few are more unique or more breathtaking than snorkeling in Tulum in the waters of Yal Ku as well as the cenotes in the area. These beautiful, naturally-occurring bodies of water are found inland, tucked away from the currents of the sea. Unique in their geology and dazzling in their array of marine life, Yal Ku Lagoon and the cenotes near Tulum offer a truly one-of-a-kind swimming experience. On our Cenotes Tulum tour, you’ll get the opportunity to explore the popular cenotes near Tulum firsthand with state-of-the-art safety equipment and the expert guidance of our tour leaders. We’ll show you some of the most incredible and easily-navigable Cancun underwater caves while ensuring your safety at every step. We’ll also visit Yal Ku Lagoon, a large, shallow cenote famous for its marine inhabitants—including sea turtles, tropical fish, and more!

The mountain town of Boquete has a wonderful climate, where you can escape the sometimes oppressive heat of the coast and lower areas. The town is relaxed and safe, catering to expats and people escaping the winters in northern climates, and local Panamanians looking for a weekend getaway. Some of the appeal here is the variety of good restaurants, as well as a mix of quality hotels and luxury inns. It’s also one of Panama’s most important coffee-growing areas, and known as a hot spot for nature and wildlife, particularly hiking and birdwatching. Having a vehicle here is quite handy for touring the surrounding mountains and reaching trailheads and nearby sites, but you can also arrange tours with transportation to the coffee plantations. One of the best short drives in Panama leaves from the outskirts of Boquete. This scenic loop of about 15 miles passes the main hiking trails, a beautiful river, an abandoned castle, and waterfalls. The road also provides amazing views down the valley and up the slopes of Volcan Baru.

To get to San Blas you’ve got four options. You can fly from Panama straight into the San Blas Islands, take a sailing boat from Cartagena, take a speedboat from Capurganá, or take the bus from Panama City. Most backpackers travelling between Colombia and Panama choose one of these options. For a good reason: Travelling over the land border, known as the ‘Darien Gap’, can be very dangerous . This is a popular drug trafficking route out of Colombia to Panama and is not safe (plus it’s just untamed jungle the whole way!). See even more information at https://www.taotravel365.com/.

Best Tulum Cenote tour today? Another quick stop on this list of the best things to do in Panama City, Panama is a visit to the La Iglesia del Carmen (also known as the Church of our Lady of Mount Carmen.) This stunning Gothic Church is one of the most beautiful buildings in the city! Although a visit to the church isn’t the most exciting experience you’ll have in Panama City, this quick stop is still worth it especially while you’re out exploring the city. Tourists from around the world come to San Blas exclusively for this important ride, La Tovara and Camalota Lagoon, where the crocodile sanctuary is located within the estuary area of the municipality of San Blas. Its ecological environment remains untouched, allowing direct contact with nature and to feel the thrill of entering a special habitat of flora and fauna.

Although it’s not on most travelers’ itineraries, Punta Chame is home to one of the nicest beaches in Panama and it’s also the best place for kiteboarding in the country. Set on a peninsula jutting out into the Pacific Ocean, this area is literally all about the beach. The endless stretch of beach here is wide, and the water is warm and shallow, giving kiters who are learning the distinct advantage of being able to stand up in the water to collect themselves as they work with their kite. The winds are side on shore and quite consistent from December to April, which is Panama’s dry season. Several kite schools offer lessons, including Machete Kite and Kitesurf Panama, located at opposite ends of the beach.

The San Blas islands and Guna Indians have been the subject of numerous National Geographic articles. Indeed your experience will be right out of the pages of National Geographic. They offer two unbeatable attractions: Caribbean islands of stunning pristine beauty and an opportunity to visit the Guna people, a living Indian culture with a fascinating culture and way of life. In 2011 Lonely Planet selected San Blas as the #3 tropical paradise in the world: “Look up ‘tropical paradise’ and there will probably be a picture of the Guna Yala archipelago. These small islands (also known as the San Blas Islands) are part of the semi-autonomous territory of the Guna people with are part of the semi-autonomous territory of the Guna people and feature palm trees, gorgeous beaches, thatched huts and timeless charm. Big business hasn’t gained a foothold because the Guna rule the roost, with a series of laws to preserve the natural environment. So no ugly hotels spoiling the view and no package tourism polluting the vibe, just plenty of uninhabited islands to explore.”
